  • Description

You have everything to gain by getting organized. You know the benefits -- reduce stress, improve your image and relationships, save time, energy, and money. The problem is that you've tried to get organized before, and now you're back for more. So, why is it different this time? Because it's a whole new ball game with new rules. Rather than diving into the action first, we'll call a time-out to find out what roadblocks are standing in your way. You'll learn two simple formulas for getting organized. You'll plan ahead for what to do, when to do it, and how to get it done. You'll create your own action plan to have fun and win at organizing. Then, you'll attack, take charge, and succeed at organizing your life.

  • Take a radically different view of organizing
  • Understand what keeps you from getting and staying organized
  • Learn the two basic organizing formulas

    Upcoming Sessions

  • April 4, 2005 - OPEN
  • Prerequisites

  • The desire to examine your own values and ethics in the spirit of free inquiry
  • Description

Every day we are confronted with ethical decisions, big and small. Must we always tell the truth? Are promises forever? Is it ever okay to spy on your child? Unfortunately, we are often left to our own devices, with little guidance to help us decide between right and wrong or good and bad.

Through the insightful guidance of Arthur Dobrin, professor of ethics and author of Ethics for Everyone, this course is meant to make you more aware of the nature of ethics and provide you with direction in making better ethical decisions. Through a brief introduction to ethical theory and case studies of ethical problems, you will learn how to increase your ability to think more clearly about the ethical choices you face in your everyday life.

Audience: The course is for anyone who wants to explore the practical virtues that make life more satisfying and learn strategies for sorting through ethical dilemmas.

    Objectives

  • Identify different ethical theories and their relevance.
  • Describe the nature of ethics.
  • Explain the relationship between ethics and happiness.
  • Make better ethical decisions.
  • Understand your obligations to relatives and friends.
  • Understand your obligations to the world.
  • Discuss the importance of life and death in ethics.
